RSSS Ballaarat Calisthenic Solo

As part of the 125th Anniversary celebrations the Royal South Street Eisteddfod has announced the introduction of a new calisthenics section at the South Street competitions.

South Street CompetitionsThe new section has been named the RSSS Ballaarat Calisthenic Solo and will involve the top 20 calisthenic soloists in the 17-years-and-over Open section in Victoria.  Participants will be invited based on their scores from the 2016 CVI State Championship Solo Competition.  RSSS will invite 6 competitors from other states and territories.

The new section will be a contemporary counterpart to the traditional Graceful Girl competition. Brett Macdonald, Business Manager at the Royal South Street Society, says:

We believe that given time, the Calisthenic Solo will rival Graceful Girl in the prestige stakes and have therefore matched the prize money on offer.

The Ballaarat Solo Competition Inc will sponsor the prize money of:

  • First $1000
  • Second $500
  • Third $250.

A perpetual trophy will be presented to the winner.
