Ballarat High School student Emily Coote puts her best boot forward for Miss Country Girl Australia

MILAN and New York are a long way from Alfredton. However year 10 student Emily Coote has put her best boot forward for a potential international modelling career.

The 15-year-old Ballarat High School student is a national finalist for Miss Country Girl Australia, a program developed by fashion entrepreneur Katie Jones.

Ms Coote won Miss Country Girl Ballarat in May after she was “discovered” through social media.

The final will be held at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast on July 1 following a three-day training workshop.

Apart from modelling, Ms Coote also plays the flute and the violin. Her outfits for the final are being supplied by Ballarat retailers Special Occasions, Something New, and Skin Ski & Surf.
