Changing Faces of Victoria
A special display at the State Library of Australia is currently depicting the history of calisthenics, showcasing materials from the archives of Vera E Hopton.
The new Changing Face of Victoria exhibition is designed to “tell the stories of the people, places and events that have shaped Victoria.”
Free Exhibition
This exhibition is free and is open 10am–5pm daily.
The new exhibition also includes:
- The premier and the pen – caricatures of Victorian premiers by Australian political cartoonists
- additions to the Ned Kelly display
- a display about two influential Indigenous community leaders, Maggie and Ernest Mobourne, who challenged government policy in the early 1900s.
- World War II Centenary display
