Studio Arc girls in the Ballaarat Solo Competitions

Good luck to all our Studio Arc students who will be performing at the Ballaarat Solo Competitions this weekend.

For most of our girls, this is the first competition for the year. Ava, Madie, Kaitlyn, Ellie and Olivia will join 433 other students at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts as part of the 24th Ballaarat Solo Competitions.  Several of our students and parents volunteer their time to help the 4-day competition run smoothly.

Ellie has already performed one item on Thursday night and was awarded 3rd place in the 11 Years Open calisthenics section.

Ellie has been working hard and also competed at the Peninsula competitions where she received a HC for the 10 Years Graceful and a HM for the 11 Years Open calisthenics section.

This local competition is a good opportunity to catch up with friends from other clubs.  In Ballarat, it often works out that girls who are friends at school attend different calisthenics clubs and end up competing against each other in the same section.  It is helpful that our girls look at the event as a fun activity rather than strictly competitive.
